My professional focus can be summed up in three distinct areas:
- Relieving clients of the burden of financial and legacy planning
- Educating and inspiring clients to take positive action
- Acting as a fiduciary, committed to delivering extraordinary outcomes while always placing the client’s needs above all else
As a coach, leader, and mentor, I draw on my experience as a retired Green Beret with 20 years of active-duty service. Throughout my military career, I conducted numerous operational deployments to Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan to include commanding in combat. I am humbled to have served and worked alongside some of the most talented special operators on the planet.
After retiring from the military, I served as CEO and managing member of a Veteran-owned tactical and marksmanship training company. While I gained countless lessons from my military and business careers, in 2020 I decided to pursue my true passion and serve as a financial advisor.
I am a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and also earned a master’s degree in defense analysis, with a specialty in financial management, from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) Practitioner and a Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®).
I’m married to Susanne, from Stockholm, Sweden. We have two grown children: Rebecca, who works in investment banking in New York City, and Matthew, who serves in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Carson, CO.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, gardening, barbecuing, sports, and anything related to lacrosse. I’m actively involved with the game, having served as a high school varsity coach and Army West Point lacrosse camp mentor, and now as a referee.
