- Spent a summer during college working in London for a milliner named Louis Mariette, who designed the most expensive hat in the world
- Met her husband at Disney World, where they both worked as college interns
- Does not like cheese (except on pizza!)

Marianne has always enjoyed helping others.
From volunteering with Habitat for Humanity to creating digital marketing plans for small businesses, she loves to see others succeed.
As an expert in social media and digital marketing, Marianne is responsible for managing and implementing the marketing initiatives of Counterweight Private Wealth. Her unique skills were crafted through 12 years of experience launching multiplatform brands and establishing loyal brand communities. Her primary areas of expertise include social media management, influencer partnerships, digital advertising, brand strategy, experiential events, editorial and email campaign management.
Prior to joining Counterweight Private Wealth, Marianne ran her own social media consulting firm.
Earlier on, she spent 8 years working in social media for WarnerMedia (formerly Turner Broadcasting and now Warner Bros Discovery).
Marianne received a BA in magazines and a BS in consumer journalism from the University of Georgia.
She served as a part-time instructor at the university in 2017. She also received a MA in public relations from Kent State University.
Outside of work, Marianne enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their two boys, Owen and Connor.
Running around after a toddler and a baby doesn’t leave much time for hobbies, but she loves to read and try new recipes. She and her family live in Cary, NC.
